Dec. 11 vs Campbellton

The Wildcats had a tremendous weekend, winning both of their games. They kicked off their winning ways by beating the Campbellton Tigers 5-4 on Friday night. It was an exciting game that went right down to the wire. It was a 4-4 game with under a minute left to play in the game, overtime looked inevitable. However, Jacob McNutt had something to say about that. McNutt found the back of the net with 37 seconds left in the game to put the Wildcats up by one goal. They would hold on to that one goal lead the rest of the way and gain a big two points in the standings.

Dec. 12 vs Pictou

The Wildcats had another nail-biting game on Saturday night. It did not look like it was going to be a nail-biter however, heading into the third period the Wildcats were leading Pictou 5-2. Pictou then stormed back though, scoring three goals with no answer from the Wildcats in the third period. Unlike the night before, this game would go into overtime. Nearly 3 minutes into the extra period, Matthew Nosella banged in a loose puck past Pictou goaltender Justin Ritcey to give the Wildcats the victory and a 4-point weekend. With the overtime victory, the Wildcats now sit in second place in the Eastlink division, 5 points behind the division leading Pictou County Weeks Crushers.

The Bantam Wildcats attempted to make a comeback against Truro on Saturday afternoon but they came up just a little bit short.
